As a part of our efforts to highlight environmental issues, we partnered with Sashakt Foundation and the Climate Change department of the Gujarat state government for a conference on the theme of ‘Gandhiji and the environment- his concepts and their relevance today’. This conference highlighted the measures to mitigate the impact of climate change at individual, community, state, and national levels by bringing together environmental experts, professors, government bodies and citizens ranging from college students to the elderly on a common platform to share their views. The panel discussions were quite fruitful and concluded on the note that the government, NGOs, private and public sectors need to work hand in hand aiming towards sustainable development.
